It had all started in the month of February in 1965 when Late. Ganapati Netalkar decided to choose 'Steel' over 'Gold' and 'Crankshaft' over 'Jewellery'. That is, he moved from his ancestral Goldsmith business to Crankshaft machining industry and didn't look back ever since. With strong business acumen and desire to succeed, he transformed a 12*12 sq. ft. rented space in 1965 to 1 lakh sq. ft. of shop-floor divided in 4 units by 2014. By virtue of this move he became the reason for thousands of smiles today in the sub-urban part of Belgaum by creating means of livelihood for them, the biggest contribution an entrepreneur makes to the society. We all who are directly or indirectly related to the Netalkar Industries would be immensely indebted to him forever.
Srinivas Induction Hardening was established in the year 1998 for the quest of having an in-house Induction Hardening facility, which until then was outsourced. Under the expert guidance and tutelage of Late. Ganapati Netalkar the foundation was laid, and the third unit of NGOI was incorporated. The unit which was 4800 sq. ft. of shop-floor size at the time of its inception, today has transformed into 4 acres of sprawling campus and state-of-the-art facility for Crankshaft manufacturing. This wouldn't have been possible without the engineering acumen and inherited business skills of Mr. Dayanand Netalkar. Consequently, now Srinivas Induction Hardening is by far the largest unit amongst NGOI firms, in terms of number of customers it caters to, output in the form of parts manufactured and revenue generation is concerned.
