Crankshafts
We are in a business of 'Precision Machining', the domain which asks for the fine-tuned commixture of Skill-full Labourer & Advanced Precision Machinery on one hand and world-class Meteorological Instruments to ad-measure & authenticate that precision on the other. The overall product acceptability criteria is composite of all the above three aspects. This makes our business domain a unique combination of Capital and Labour intensiveness.
At SIH, we are primarily involved in Machining and Grinding of Crankshafts, which includes execution of all the significant operations required for achieving the stringent specifications of the shaft. This demands a range of operations to be performed and which in turn asks for variety of machines coupled with variety of skills that would be process capable.
Our business portfolio revolves largely upon single product category with extensive product depth. Crankshaft as it is regarded as one of the most critical component in the Internal Combustion Engine, we happened to have directed all of our attention in mastering the art of manufacturing this component. Its a fact that crankshaft manufacturing asks for undivided attention and that's why we have spent 50 years in erudition and learning.
As all the years have been wisely invested in mastering the manufacturing of this component, we at SIH cater to the entire 'product depth' of crankshafts. The two dimensional product depth makes us manufacture variety type from single cylinder to six cylinder crankshaft and range of GD&T and other dimension-specific crankshaft to a particular engine class. We presently manufacture 53 different models of crankshafts in our factory set-up. The 'complexity' involved in manufacturing these many variants also adds up to the 'expertise' of highest kind.
SIH mainly accounts for the Farm Division applications which covers about 80% of our business operations and GenSets, Automobile & Compressors being on the other side of the applications. Our entire share of business is directed towards OEMs and we supply all the parts in 'fully finished' and 'ready-for-fitment' condition.
